about
"Something Like That (Revisited)" is a jammed-out rendition of Brian Colburn's "Something Like That," which originally appeared on his 2008 CD "Time Marches On." This studio cut captures the natural evolution the song has taken since it's live debut.
lyrics
Since looking forward and looking back looks the same
Like mental photographs we all took back in the day
All different sceneries, ages and different times
The future's as bright as then, and I'm glad my past is mine
It's the something that takes me back to
The memories I've yet to make
Something like this, something like that
Something like something or other, or something in fact
Some things stay the same, and others need to change
Did something go wrong, when something ain't right
Something like something for nothing, or something to try
Sometime, someplace, somehow, somewhere, someway
Something like that...
Our lives are telling, with so many different sides
And like time has told us, just forget about the time
The same lessons we have learned, stop us from learning more
Forget about the ‘what happened when,’ and embrace the ‘what's in store’
It's the something that takes me back to
The memories I've yet to make
Something like this, something like that
Something like something or other, or something in fact
Some things stay the same, and others need to change
Did something go wrong, when something ain't right
Something like something for nothing, or something to try
Sometime, someplace, somehow, somewhere, someway
Something like that...
